Phew! Finally finished! Well, as finished as I'm gonna call it, at least. I could have tweaked those fine details, the small shading and whatnot forever, but I had to call it done some time.. This is as far as I can remember the longest personal drawing exercise I've done in ages. Time spent: around 15 hours, I think. (Yes, I'm still an ineffective rookie) I worked on it on and off over a couple of weeks, though. Taking brakes on "big" works like these actually helps you to see flaws more easily.
Like on the Scarlett drawing: [link] I cheated like a motherfucker, but mind you, it does not make it any quicker. Also like on the Scarlett piece, I traced the main features and details of the original drawing, then used the reference picture on the side when I did the shading etc. Reference pic > [link]
It's strange how many details make a whole, and how my pic doesn't resemble her that much. The eyes, her mouth and the general shading was ridiculously hard to get right. Also the hair, who I decided to crop most of away..haha..
